After 3 decades crisscrossing the globe, he shows no signs of slowing down remaining innovative, humble, and firmly rooted in the underground.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI look at my job as a \u2018modern day traveling minstrel\u2019 bringing new music to as many places as I can and exposing audiences to obscure records that otherwise might go hidden.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>As an early House Music pioneer in the late 80\u2019s, Farina\u2019s history includes an impressive long standing residency at Smart Bar Chicago and a job at the legendary Gramaphone Records. In the 90s, Mark pushed musical boundaries and blended genres to create \u201cMushroom Jazz\u201d. Eventually, Mark made San Francisco his home as his signature sound created a strong demand for his DJ sets. The Bay Area proved to be a perfect match for Mark\u2019s musical vision and he released a string of major mix compilations including his Mushroom Jazz series. With a tireless passion for playing extended sets, B2B shows with fellow House Music icons, or playing both of his signature styles on 2 stages on the same night, Farina continues to entertain his incredible fans all over the globe with over 100 shows per year.<\/p>\n<p>Currently, Farina is the head honcho at his record label, Great Lakes Audio Recordings. He\u2019s a hard-working and no-nonsense music lover who infuses passion into everything he does, from rocking a crowd, to engineering remixes, to producing modern dance music.<\/p>\n<p>His highly-tuned feel for groove has led to collaboration with house music icon Mark Farina (who featured Homero\u2019s tracks on his Fabric and Ministry of Sound DJ mixes), releases on prominent labels including King Street, Reel People Music, and iRecords, and featured singles on Defected Radio.<br \/>\nHomero\u2019s latest passion project is Moulton Music, a boutique label he cofounded with the legendary Chris Lum. Homero and Chris are proud to be working with some of house music\u2019s most important artists, like Tony Humphries, Fred Everything, and The Revenge to name a few. <\/p>\n<p>Though it\u2019s a new venture, Moulton Music is already making a name for itself, with several releases hitting #1 on the Traxsource Top 100 charts and Beatport Top 100. <\/p>\n<p>Through his sets showcased in venues far and wide\u2014from the clubs of Europe to the well-known venues of his home turf, San Francisco\u2014Homero has proven to be a solid performer, professional craftsman, and tasteful musical guide, catching the attention of house music lovers globally.  While his favorite accolades are the high-fives and pats on the back that follow playing a stirring set, the satisfaction that comes from hearing one of his tracks on a booming sound system during a night of party hopping or seeing a track he worked on hitting the top of the charts also fuels his passion. Homero\u2019s elegant signature sound\u2014a marriage of \u201890s rave elements and melodic jazz, soul, and hip hop influences\u2014is being embraced by a wider, global audience.
