Resident Advisor – New club, Halcyon, opens in San Francisco
Visionquest, Kenny Dope and Tiefschwarz are among the artists booked for the next month or so.
A new house and techno club called Halcyon has opened at 314 11th Street in San Francisco.
The space opened last month in an industrial building only a few blocks away from other dance spots like DNA Lounge and Public Works. It’s overseen by local nightlife entrepreneur Gina Milano, who’s owned and operated a handful of clubs and restaurants in San Francisco. Halcyon’s upcoming bookings include Jan Blomqvist, DJ Sneak, Sharam, Visionquest (Lee Curtiss & Ryan Crosson), Yousef, Kenny Dope and Tiefschwarz, among others. They’ve also confirmed a three-date residency from Ibiza institution Cocoon.
“The management team brings experience and influence from Ibiza, which is reflected throughout the club,” a company spokesperson says. Halcyon also has a rare 24-hour license, though like most clubs in the US they can’t sell liquor between the hours of 2 AM and 6 AM.
