DOM DOLLA

Dom Dolla is a commodity appreciating in value. His name has become synonymous with soulful hooks, jackin’ drums and big basslines and at the tender age of twenty four, he continues to establish himself as a future world beater. Signing with kings of cool and ultimate taste makers ‘Sweat it Out Records’ in 2014, Dom’s talent was instantly introduced to a broader audience. His remix of Go Freek’s seminal record ‘We Can Ride’ banked over three and a half million streams and caught the ear of heavyweights Diplo, Tchami, Anna Lunoe, AC Slater, Oliver Helens, Bixel Boys, Mark Farina & many others. In 2016, Dom was invited to mix Ministry of Sound’s Platinum selling ‘Annual’ Compilation, an invitation he took to task, putting together an eclectic mix that pushed the rigid boundaries of modern dance compilations. His multi-faceted skill set has also seen him remix the likes of RUFUS, Motez, Monkey Safari, Hayden James, PNAU & The Aston Shuffle, taking his clean, energetic production style and applying it to some of the world’s best. Dom’s debut single ‘Define’, a collaboration with Go Freek, held the #1 spot on the Aria Club Chart for an enormous nine consecutive weeks, garnered over eight million online streams and was featured in Warner Brothers 2015 film, ‘We Are Your Friends’. To top off the definitive single release, Dom was invited to perform alongside celebrated conductor Ashley Irwin and a 16 piece orchestra at the prestigious APRA Screen Awards—becoming the first electronic single to be performed live in the association’s history. Dom then followed it up with his solo single ‘YOU’, which spent 6 consecutive weeks at #1 on the ARIA Club Charts, gained spins on BBC Radio 1, a feature on Triple J as the Aston Shuffle’s tune of the week and Insomniac’s track of the day. The anticipation leading up to the release was evident, gaining over 1.5 million streams within weeks of appearing online. From humble beginnings as a resident DJ in Melbourne’s bubbling underground, the past twelve months have seen Dom tour Australia nationally, twice, support What So Not on his Australian tour and featured notable performances at Splendour in the Grass, Beyond the Valley, Future Music Festival & Stereosonic. He also closed out one of the main stages at EDC Las Vegas, had a guest appearance at Coachella and slayed two huge festival sets at Paradiso & Splash House, finishing up with a run of U.S club shows, including a debut at the highly reputable Exchange in LA, not just dipping his toe in international waters, but jumping in head first. Keep your eye on the exchanges, he’s a commodity on the rise.
