WONGO

This man has had Beyonce 3 times. That’s right; big dick Wongo from down unda’ has had the Queen Bey in and around his mouth on three separate official remixes for Sony. This righteous lad has spent over a decade between the bright screens perfecting the boops and womps that tickle and stimulate your ear canals.

We are mad privileged to have sir Wongo as one of the absolute bawses behind the Box of Cats label. Real recognize real as Claude VonStroke, Justin Martin, Billy Kenny, Martin Solveig, Riva Starr, Joris Voorn, Golf Clap, and Rudimental all big up the container of cantankerous felines on a regular basis. Bring it back one more time, as real recognize real forreal; Wongo has written tracks alongside the talents of Billy Kenny, Bot, Sinden, and Jace Mek to name just a few off the top of the dome.

Only recently have the States had the pleasure of his weirdness with his first U.S. tour hitting landfall over New Year’s Eve 2017. It’s safe to say it won’t be the last time that mothers across the country should be hiding their daughters from his cranberry and vodka scented allure.

If it’s not his tunes, his boyish charm, or penchant for taking off his clothes on stage that grab ya, then it must be his moves. Yes, the man currently posted up on the Gold Coast is a 5 time breakdancing/bboying champion in the land of wallabies and surf. He done toured all over the world on three separate occasions spinning on his fucking head solely for the purpose of droppin jaws and panties alike.

The man is a master of all genres and dancefloors so don’t expect any Wongo set to sound like any other. This is why our friend who prefers to spend his life 5AM-9PM in the studio instead of a nightclub is a can’t miss see whenever you get lucky enough for him to grace your local shithole. However, if you can convince the antisocial socialite to have 1 drink with you, 1 becomes 10 faster than you can say “cunt” and a night out with Wongo becomes just as memorable as the wild diversity of amazing tunes he has floating around the airwaves.

LUCATI

Music over everything. That’s the motto that has brought this 27 year old producer’s music to worlds largest stages. Having produced for 8 years, 2017 was his breakout moment. Lucati has gained the respect from the underground and the legends that sit at the top of the game. Artists such as Claude VonStroke, Shiba San, Tchami, Malaa, and Mark Knight have all played or released this young and handsome producers’ music. On January 1st, 2018 he debuted his Whistling Duck EP on the mighty DIRTYBIRD label to rave reviews. Mixing groovy, with casual, with sexy, Lucati’s unique sound emerges amongst the new wave of House producers. Refusing to impersonate his idols, but instead taking inspiration, Lucati aims for something different and unheard of. Ramping up in 2018 with a solid release schedule and upcoming shows, the sky’s the limit for this old dog.

FOOLIE

Going against the norm has been FOOLiE’s modus operandi from the start. Having dabbled in Trap and Hip Hop production and the local oversaturated dubstep scene, FOOLiE eventually found his true calling in House music. Rather than following the standard formulaic production approach, he opted to follow in the footsteps of underground producers and crafted his own sound with inspiration from his love of all things sci-fi. Like many of the great works in the genre, his beats keep listeners on their toes. As House of Bangerz put it, “FOOLiE’s productions make no sense, and yet they do.”

It is his unique productions that led to FOOLiE’s discovery and label debut by way of This Ain’t Bristol’s Billy Kenny, the man who’s known for being a connoisseur of the strangest of sounds. In the week leading to his label debut on This Ain’t Bristol, insomniac selected Oxy as its track of the day. Oxy, the second track off the Boogie EP, was described as “a groggy little number that bumps and grinds…until the second drop hits and the squelchy synth lines steal the focus.” Upon its debut, the EP earned him spots on the top 200 Dance release charts in Denmark (#2), Sweden (#15) and the U.S. (#31). The tracks were featured on sets by Billy Kenny, Maximono, Danny Kolk, MKJAY and Warung.

Since then, FOOLiE has been busy riding the momentum of his first release to produce new tracks and collaborations. He currently has additional releases on Red Paradise Records, House of Bangerz, Expression Records, My Techno Weighs a Ton, House of Hustle and Psycho Disco. With several performances under his belt, including headlining appearances, he’s hit the ground running and doesn’t plan on slowing down anytime soon. Keep an eye on him – his career is just starting but he has already proven he can stand alongside veterans in the game.
